Sketches

This week I had my boyfriend sit for me so I could sketch him. He often wakes up in the middle of the night or suddenly stops what he's doing to write down a dream he had or an idea for a painting or something along those lines in a journal that he has. we set up a lamp near his bed and had him sit on the edge writing in his journal. Using the lamp keeps my idea of light and shadow, but I feel like having the person in my painting doing something will hopefully give the painting a bit more of a narrative that was suggested at the tutorial review. I didn't get to put too much detail into these because I was working quickly but I may be able to have him sit again so I can get the light/shadow, and some more detail.
