Sketch on Canvas

When I was sketching out my painting on the canvas on Tuesday I was getting a bit frustrated because I felt like I kept making the figure look to scrunched vertically (if that makes sense), I couldn't fit the whole figure on the canvas at the size I wanted it to be horizontally. I ended up erasing the entire thing and turning the canvas vertical instead. I think the figure looks more proportionate now and the composition is a bit better. When the drawing was horizontal I felt like the composition was a bit boring and that the figure was being consumed by the rest of the space to the left and right. I think that the vertical composition helps bring more attention to the figure rather than the room the figure is in.

This is the Image horizontally:

This is the Image Vertically:

Final Project Idea

For my final project I want to make an air hockey type of game but have it be single player. I want there to be a puck/ball and goal...
